Mehdi Mirbagheri is a contemporary Iranian artist born in 1980 in Tehran.

From his first years of training he chose to turn to new media and the mixture of various techniques (photo, graphics, painting, collage) to develop his own visual identity, trying to move on to different artistic experiences of video installations. and performance.

From 2008 he turned to Pop Art by creating works using the pictorial codes inherited from Lichtenstein which he mixed with Arabic and Persian calligraphy. The success was immediate and opened the doors to the Western market. Attracted by a raw, direct and refined art, carrying clear messages, he truly considers the technique which generates the characteristic contrasts of his work. By shaking up visual codes, he creates new harmonies that underline the deep link existing between form and substance.
