In presence of artist

Mathias Bensimon’s work immediately captivates with his masterful use of color and light, which he harmoniously combines with movement. His paintings reveal themselves as inner landscapes, where ethereal forms emerge and transform. They instantly draw us into a mesmerizing cosmic depth. Their composition seems to vibrate to the rhythm of an imperceptible energy, oscillating between abstraction and suggestion, between perception and imagination.

Drawing inspiration from the perpetual motion of life forms, the artist explores with poetic sensitivity the delicate transition between the inanimate and the animate. He transcends the boundary between static and dynamic matter, giving birth to a fascinating visual universe that blends organic influences with cellular structures. His works evoke both microscopic views and ever-evolving worlds. Each element appears imbued with a spiritual breath, reflecting an ongoing dialogue between nature and the invisible.

Mathias Bensimon’s last solo exhibition, Jardin Cosmique, was centered on light and quantum physics. This new exhibition presents a fresh series of works exploring the theme of autopoiesis, a concept that immerses us in the very essence of life and its ability to self-organize. This self-organization is perceived as an inner force that drives all things to continually generate themselves. Through a play of tonalities, either in harmony or in contrast, the artist suggests a kind of primordial Big Bang, evoking the emergence and abundance of life. In doing so, he reminds us that art often draws its energy and substance from the primordial void. While it has often been said that one can turn life into a work of art, Mathias Bensimon goes even further by envisioning the possibility of a true symbiosis between art and life. As generators of unprecedented forms, both art and life share the same vital impulse, shedding light in many ways on the evolution of our world. Through new representations with shimmering multicolored effects, the artist translates the moment when initial chaos becomes a source of creativity.

Art, therefore, would not be limited to mere contemplation. Rather, it would resemble an organic element of existence itself—a living process, in constant evolution, deeply rooted in our reality.
