My Things – n°3

"MY THING" SERIES

Hong Hao is an artist who works independently of any artistic stream. He presents a satirical perception of Chinese history and culture through series of photographs such as “My things” in 2002 or more recently “10 Years Chinese Contemporary”. These works, made up of hundreds of elements linked together around a common theme. On these “satellite photos” taken from scanned and recomposed objects, Hong Hao creates intimate micro-universes in which he invites us to dive in to better discover and appreciate the details.

THE ARTIST

Born in Beijing in 1965 HONG HAO graduated from the engraving department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing in 1989 He currently lives and works in Beijing.
