Exhibition by Mathias Bensimon at the Miyawaki gallery and performance for the “art and health” project

Meet Mathias Bensimon in the exhibition Un artiste qui voyage dans la lumière at the Miyawaki Gallery in Kyoto. This is the artist’s first solo exhibition in Japan. Mathias Bensimon embarks on a meditative journey in search of the light that occupies a predominant place in his work.
August 30, 2024 from 5 pm and August 31, 2024 from 3 pm: Opening, meeting with the artist and performance at the Miyawaki Gallery in Kyoto.

In the Hasedera temple at Nara, artist realise a performance on September 7 and 8 at 14 pm.
September 25 to 30, 11am to 8pm: meeting with Mathias Bensimon, who will be painting live, and performance by AzurVert (duo of musicians Azusa Minamino and Takehiko in Tokyo (Shibuya Hikarie 8 / aiima2).
As part of the “art and health” project, Mathias Bensimon will be putting on a performance and activities alongside other artists: M.Tanimura (guitar), Azusa (violin), Nami (harmonica, performer).
On September 6, the artist will be at the Aichi Children’s Health and Medical Center, participating in the creation of works of art with hospitalized children (more information: https://www.achmc.pref.aichi.jp).
On September 13 and 14, Mathias Bensimon will be at Nagoya City University Hospital to create the fresco entitled “Clear River”, which will adorn the atrium. The title “clear river” comes from the name of the city Kawasumi (kawa = river, Sumi = clear, transparent, pure). Nagoya City University Hospital will once again welcome Mathias Bensimon for an art workshop with hospitalized children.
